Our beach house sits two blocks from Stonesteps, in the quieter Leucadia end of Encinitas. Stonesteps is a four-minute walk. Moonlight is twelve. Pannikin and downtown are both on foot.
It’s set up so you can travel light. E-bikes, a hot tub, fire table, espresso machine, outdoor shower, and Sonos throughout. We keep beach gear, baby and kid gear, robes, and a pantry that’s mostly organic, so you don’t have to pack any of it.

The whole back wall opens.
The great room opens through an 18′ La Cantina door onto the back deck, so the inside and the outside become one room. The kitchen is set up for cooking with a crew, the table seats eight, and the fire table and grill are where everyone ends up around six.
Rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower, take the RAD e-bikes for a spin around Leucadia, and come home to the hot tub when the evening turns cool.

Hi! I’m Amber.
This is our family’s beach house. We spent years planning the remodel as our own home, took it down to the studs in 2022, and I picked out pretty much everything that went back into it.
Then Covid hit, and we finally chased a long-time dream of a small farm with room for homeschooling and working from home. We live on a five-acre homestead now, not far from here, which is how this ended up being a house we share instead of one we live in.
Because we built it for ourselves, you can show up with a carry-on and still have what you need. There’s a crib and a BOB stroller, beach chairs and a shade tent, and a pantry with the oils and spices already in it.
